I've been revamping my solar PV and telco battery set up, increasing the PV array, adding a zomeworks tracker and swapping panels from one thing to another. In the process, I've collected some chargers that I've tried and now don't feel are the right way to go for my system. They might be just the thing for yours.
1. RV Products (now Blue Sky) 3048 MPPT charger. This includes the LCD display. I bought this new, price even then was over $500. A nice unit that will utilize 24-48v source for 24v battery or 48v source for 48v battery. My ONLY problem with this is that it doesn't do diversion loads. Fine for PV but not wind. Includes temperature sensor and full docs.
Make an offer on this. I won't be giving it away, but you might have something I'd find worth trading for.
2. Boston Mountain 3000 watt charger (does diversion loads). A small box that should be able to handle large loads, including wind. Adjustable pulse time and voltage limit. My problem with this charger is that I don't like the charging algorithm for use with sealed vrla batteries. Should be great for normal lead acid type batteries. Includes temperature sensor and docs. I paid $190 for this a few months ago.
I would accept a trace c-40 or c-60 in trade for the Boston Mountain charger, or the cash to get same.
