Thanks,

It'd be fun, wouldn't it? ;-)
Mind you, I doubt that it's been running for at least 70 years, so you'd probably have your work cut out for you.

Old iron often ages gracefully. And they were certainly designed before the evil idea of planned obsolescence. They had the idea to pass this stuff on to their grandkids with a little regular maint.

OK, I'll ask the local heritage society if they'll let you have it.
I suspect that the postage cost will be a killer though! ;-)
I think all it will need is a bearing change and a bit of grease... As has already been remarked, they don't make 'm like that anymore.
I have some 'old iron' here, a ford 9N (1942) and it starts better than most of the modern stuff I've got, especially in cold weather.
It's built like a tank and I fully expect it to outlast me by several decades at a minimum, whereas I'm happy if any of the 'new' stuff will last for another 10 years.www.greenbits.com
My dad has a Fordson Super Major (~1958?) that he bought about 40 years ago, and I want one.
I don't actually have any use for a tractor, but I just think it would be cool. ;-)
