A great resource for understanding Wind Generation... and could be better.

The Wikipedia entry for "Wind Turbine"/"Wind Generator" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wind_turbine) is chock full of information for a newbie to wind power.  It really nails down the fundemental concepts and I think it should be a recommended read.

However, there's no real mention of smaller and home-grown machines.  Also missing are some dead wikipedia links (links listed in red to pages that need to be created).  Most notable there are "induction generator" and "savonius rotor". I tweaked the page a little and thought I might be able to do some more good for it later.

If you like, you can read through that page, noting things that should be added or changed and either edit the page yourself or post ideas here and I'll do it (being a tech. writer and all :)

Any other RE related ideas for the wikipedia would be welcome too.  It'd be neat if we could get some info on PM alternators in their "alternator" entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternator).  Some of Ed's excellent coil/magnet diagrams would be great if it's all right to use them.
