Can't find specs.

I found some transistors in some kind of inverter and I can't find any info on them.
They are made by toshiba the number on the unit is MJ300J1US1. The only info I found
was 600V 300A but thats it. They appear to be 2 transistors in one case. Any ideas?
Thanks RobC

Toshiba has an IGBT 600V 300A with a just slightly different number.  Maybe yours was a previous generation.

I have had good sucess with putting the part number in Google. There are several Russian sites that seem to have info no on else has.

I've noticed that too.  But I also get frustrated by the huge number of results that turn up that have no info, just lists and lists of part numbers of NOS parts for sale.

RatOmeter;

Try some boolean in your searches if you get too many "for sale" sites use a [-sale] in there. With the right combinations you might be amazed at how fine you can prune the results.

Cheers.
