I've been employed for the last six+ years running an 8 spindle carving duplicator(manually controlled). I wonder if carving some windmill blades would be worth pursuing.
Even if they need a bit of clean-up work, the time savings should be considerable.
The dimensions of the machine limit the blank ends to a diagonal of just under 10in.--length is limited by the reach of my arms. By flipping end-for-end at the halfdone point 5ft. blades would be easily possible--probably this can be extended by adding a handle to the machine.
I don't want to suck the fun out of this by turning it into business, I'm just inspired by some of the really top-notch props some of you have posted :)
I've already run it past my boss, and he's open to the idea of some machine time outside of work.
