I found an interesting battery use calculator.

The web site below has a battery and inverter chart.
If I cut the answers by another 1/3 thats about what mine does.It seems that the temp has a lot to do with performance. When it gets summer in Tx the rig of mine will be less than usless. How many batteries will fit in a large deep freezer. If its bad news please dont advise.              Frankenbuger

Well, if you set the freezer with a house thermostat to be around reasonable 20c, you still get to vent it sometimes. I really wonder how efficient this could be but if it make it possible by itself by reviving the batteries, why not. Good luck

Punched in the numbers for 80 degrees, and no loss. Losses occurred below that temp, but they have nothing for higher unless I missed something. Did you find anything for higher temps? Must be losted again! Gary D.

I land-lined the tech at the web site he said:"The figures are for canada, not for warmer climates. In warmer climes the electrolite is thined a little with,a bit more water. And that batteries perform better when warmer, they just dont last as long as when used in cooler climates."..... Note to self: build a revolving battery container that is half in and half out deep-freezer...That ought to get it.
Of course batteries dont know how to crunch numbers real good like i does.

Glad to hear that warmer is better to a point. If too hot, you could try burrying a truck tool carrying box ( the vinal type sp?) with a vent tube, but I'm not sure how much condensation might occur. I know it gets hot enough to buckle concrete down there in Tx. Just a passing thought. Gary D.
