What a waste for a windmill

I seem to be in a humorous mood today so will write about an observation.  I see all these little 6-8 ft tall small replicas of the old american waterpumping windmill in peoples' yards (seem to be very popular here in Colorado) and think to myself - doesnt have a generator/alternator of some sort on it - what a waste of $50 just for decoration. Now if I had one of those....
