PowerBox Inverter box

Hello,

I am in Canada and today I bought a "PowerBox"
I have posted some digital images that I took today just after buying it
here:

If you wish to see the item at the store's online website see here:

It is from a very large store chain in Canada called Canadian Tire.

What this box is I am guessing is, is a car battery and a power inverter.

I am happy with the purchase but need to charge it now for 48 hours before use.

Question: When I opened the manual I get this warning,

" CAUTION: The output of the inverter is non-sinusoidal "

It tells me NOT to use things such as battery-operated appliances like flashlights and razors, etc.

It also says that some things that come with chargers may become damaged.

----------------

They DO say that laptops are ok to use, so I am wondering if the AC charger that I use to charge my video camera batteries on, and to also power the video camera when battery power is dead, will be ok to plug into this power box.

This is a little disappointing to me, as I thought I would be able to just plug in the AC charger for my video camera, and also use a charger to charge batteries ( AA batteries ) also.

I don't understand electricity much at all so this is a little over my head.

any help is much appreciated.

Mark.

This might help, yeah these small converters aren't the perfect solution, BTW it probably isn't a car battery inside but a SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) deep cycle which a car battery ain't.
 Well hope this link helps....
