seems to be a unstable setup--high winds would cause a few problems-why so many props ? must vibrate like hell--hmmm--  stick a lawn chair up their and get off on the vibes--whats it power ?  is there a drive shaft hooked to it--for a water pump or what?  looks cool--what ever it does..

Hi Doug.

I was fascinated by your site.

Nifty stuff, to say the least.  No more hand held tests though, okay?  We don't want to read about you in the obituaries!  (I bet you never did that again!)

I was interested in the fact that you used a special carbon fibre rod to mount the blades on... would an ordinary straight steel rod, supported in front of and behind the alternator work?  Perhaps if there were fewer rotors extended beyond the bearing locations?  (I realize the stress on the rod further out from the supports would be pheonominal!)

Don't worry, I'm not looking to mess with this stuff right now!  Maybe some day I'll take a crack at it, but I have lots to learn before then!
Regards, XEROID.

Doug,

I scanned quickly thru your site, I was looking to see how long it took you to aquire your 1st patent. Seems as thou your second is comming thru now. I have a patent pending in the uspto now, just past the second year of being applied for. Id like to congratulate you on aquiring your patents.

My invention relates to a variable valve lift direct injection valve. Its designed to retro-fit existing engines so that they may be run thru alternative means.

Am I right in thinking you are classifing this type of mill as a "Californa Style machine" if so I think thats neat.

why not have an indivuidal generator per blade set, and make them all face the wind. that way the blades dont block the wind from the ones behind it...... oh. well, ip ip ip......
