E-85 Conversion Kits

Anyone know of an E-85 conversion kit?

A gallon of E-85 ethanol gasoline is selling for 50-60 cents less than regular unleaded.  Does anyone know of a conversion kit for vehicles of the late 1990's?  Apparently the biggest problem of converting is in the emissions.

Hello. You only get 2/3 of the energy from E85 ethanol, that means that you only get 2/3 of the MPG also. There goes the savings per gallon right out the tail pipe. This is just another way for the goverment money machine to steal your tax dollars.MR. B and his cronies are not going to do any thing to upset the oil money, that they are stealing. If anything ever sounds too good to be true,it probaly is.    Frankenbuger

I havent heard of any conversion kits, but I've looked at the website for the flex fuel vehicles that can burn E85 or gasoline. I even talked to one person driving a flex fuel vehicle, a state car I believe. He said he could tell no difference in power or mileage when he ran E85. I've never heard anything about less mileage when using E85. I would of thought the negatives would of leaked out about it.

Around here in the Dakotas where lots of corn is grown, E-85 is all the rage.  I too haven't heard anything about less mileage, but you hear plenty about it costing 50 cents a gallon less!

This website answers a lot of questions and dispells many rumors:  http://www.e85fuel.com/faq.htm
