square rotor--reclaim coils

what not to do with rotors--reclaimed coils

this motor has 4 main coils and 4 start up coils--so i made the rotor flat on 4 sides-added mags--output was 6 volts on one set of coils and 4 volts on other--when
spun by hand--using ceramic mags with hard drive mags on top for extra kick--not good!--my little 1/4 hp alt.--did much better --using only 6 ceramic mags ,,
may be because of the square rotor --putting out a oddball magnetic field..

if you ever need to get your coils back--just boil the heck out of them and it makes it easy to reclaim them---

HI Hicker

I hope to try the square rotor and bar magnets soon? I've had very good luck with 4 pole motors.

I would like to use a solid steel armature but the square washers should work as good

I think the nut & bolt place has some square washers? I'll check that out tommorow.
