I concur.  I noticed this the other day but thought what the heck.  Just for documentation purposes, I am on MST (same state as the server in Ft Collins) and it is 9:14 PM MST Jan 5th. as of this writing .  Your post poped up a few minutes ago stating it was posted at 4:03AM MST Jan 6th which is ~7 hours into the future.  Maybe those guys are producing so much power up there they have time warped themselves into the future a few hours heh, heh.

After looking at a few posts and a few replies, it looks like only the original post is wrong oon the time.  The replies are the correct time.  Might help tracking down the problem.  But it is interesting to post a message and find it time and dat marked ablut 7 hours into the future.  Guess one can't complain about slow computers ha ha.

Its most likely the time on the web server. I dont know about the Forcefields server ( Linux I think, CGI based ) but for most servers any records are date stamped with the server time. The chances are the server time will be more accurate than the end users PC time so server time is used in preference.

Let's see, Mountain time is GMT/UTC -7. Looks like Scoop is stamping story submissions at Time Zone 0.  Guess that explains the 7 hours difference. Might be some glitch in the config or in the software.  I guess it'd be OK if the comments were timestamped the same, but it's a little disconcerting as it is.

Or it could be that your browser or computer have a time problem. The times look OK to me, automagically expressed in CST.
