Interesting indeed.

Have you defined the generator, the charge controller and the use of the energy ?.

Heating or electrical power ?.

What type of RPM control? Pitch Control or Furling ?.

yes, 16 magnets 46X60X10 mm., coils 12 for 26 turns double wires 2,35 mm., 3 phase, 24v sistem, cut-in 90 rpm.

How much power are you expecting to harvest at what Wind velocity and RPM.

I think about finding a power of around 3500-4000 Ws to 200-220 rpms, with a cut-in of 4m/s to 90 rpms.
At least I hope both so: -)

One comment, with a TSR of 6, your cut in wind speed will be about 4 M/S, which is a little high. You could cut in a little lower, say at 70 RPM (or 3 M/S) if you increase your coil turns to 35 or so. I don't think you are going to get everything you can out of a 5 meter rotor with so few turns.
Paul, I'd rather spend my money on anything but oil.

I will perhaps increase the turnses in 32-35 of the coilses, to have a cut-in lower, my fear is that so can brake the turbine to taller winds.
It will still spend a lot of time before I succeed in realizing the jenny from 5 ms.... but with calm, in the leisure time, I will make one piece at a time....

I am just curious if you have your 12' turbine up yet? {3.5 meters?} If you do have it up does it make very much noise? I am building the same turbine and am concerned with the nois it will make. Are you flying all these at your place? You should be cranking alot of power. Do you have any good wind readings? I liked the pictures in your last post. If you have any more I would like to see them. Five meters, boy you are getting into the big ones now. Good luck, and have lots of fun. Keep us posted. I like to see the great pictures of the wind turbines everyone makes! This is the first year for me with a computer. I never knew what I was missing. Plus now since I have had it I bought a wood boiler, and I am now building a wind turbine. Thanks to all the help from this web site!

My 3,6 meters turbine is not completed solmente the steel disks yet they miss me but will still want us time to lift her/it.
Today I have lifted the 2° jenny from 500W 2,4 meters however it is initiated to rain cats and dogs and I have not been able to photograph the cars.
I hardly succeed in the next days I publish the photos that I will do on the forum.
I think that you will lift before me your jenny of 3,6 meters, make to know me how it also works me I am very curious.
