visions of winter wonderland

white stuff everywhere!

So, if your in the tropics or down south or down under, this is how it looks in the upper north Canada this morning. A contrast of white on white, slightly foggy, light color contrasts of browns and greens behind. Somewhat eerie and beautiful at the same time. It's just plain white everywhere as far as the eye can see. Hope you enjoyed these visions of winter.

Looks like good sledding.

Alternative power snowmobile anyone?  Maybe a veggie diesel ArctiCat.

It seems much warmer here for some reason. I don't feel any real cold. Went out and washed the car! hands where a little cold, nice cup of hot coffee fixed that problem.

Not many pines here.  I will be glad when there is more green than white again!
But the sun showed up today.

White as far as you can see here too and 3 feet deep.  Watched the snow come off of my barn roof yesterday.  Over a foot deep.  Shot out eight feet from the wall.  One worry over.  Now only two and a half months of winter left.  Yay!

Looks beautiful. Classes were canceled today here because of ice, which hopefully means I'll be on the slopes tomarrow. :)

Speaking of sledding, we had a woman die in town from a sledding accident. Head injury. Brutal sport.
