Best shots at small altenator

Which to make a dual or signle rotor for small fast altn?

After seeing sparks and smelling smokey ozone from the over rev'd
axial altenator responses, I've had a bit mental melt down too.

Anyone got ideas to offer on likely design of disc type altn thats
5 1/4" dia x 1" thick and powered from ~1000 rpm to 7000 rpm?
Cycle use to carry 12 v battery and ign and lights load say 60ish
watts 13ish volts at idle, but wouldn't act as a windgennie in tornado?
Cost and time not an issue as much as the practicaliy/possiblely.
I've lurked a enough to mostly be up to speed to understand most
of what is asked or disscussed here minus the wind dynamics part.

humblely hobot

I did reply to your last post after your comments, you may not have seen it.

I would consider adding external chokes to your alternator to limit current.

Flux you just made me cry and laugh at once. I'm
so overwhelmed to learn navigation here let alone
special altn design and right out the box you hit
me with a term I only know of in hamradio circles
and no idea what it means here : -(
Will go look at my postings to find your past offerings.

My maddness is to go quicker than new cycle's on 30 yr
old looking Commando with a few secerect ingredients.
Wind is too sparadic in Ozarks to use but has sun and
water flows all around to tap, as many must do for juice.

Flux, I found your comments on m'cycle self reactence [?]
and external chokes before rectifier.  The stock altn
stator is indeed iron laminate ring with coils poles
facing inward to the radial mounted 6 magnet pole rotor.
Mine was an upgraded version in 3 phase 215 watt vs 1 phase
and 120 watt, for the scale of things. It is about the
toughest componet on the bike suffering truamas that melted
rubber, aluminum and steel into cermaic coatings inside
and chewed up a few nuts and screws inside and still
working after a crankshaft over rev whipped its ends so
much it fractured resin cracks as the rotor smacked it.
The iron core ring is 5.25" OD and 3/4" wide but the coper
over hang this so whole unit is 1.5" thick, .5" too much
for my new desires.

To wind a stator up like stock radial design seemed overwhelming
to to attempt and felt that if factory couldn't get it more
compact in this design what chance did I have to beat em.

Though I still must look up the choke componets, there
would be room inside the primary case with altn to mount
em out the way fanned by toothed belt above and below so
no oil mess as with heavy tiplex chain.

Seems my most practical design now is single rotor
with more robust stator to face it and endure the strains.

Here's photo site of the beast and environment if bored.
