Access to large props

Had a chance to visit a local airlines prop repair shop. Was given a guided tour and a roll of leading edge tape. Very interesting set up but the foreman was interested on my genny and was interested in building one of his own. I was offered some large 8-9 foot metal props that were going to the scrap. They were shaped different than the usual props, and were about 12 inches wide at the tips and tapered to the hub.
They also weighed about 125 lb each and required a special hub. I passed on the offer but a hub could be obtained but 350lb would be a job. Would such a thing be possible?
