Cheap! :-)

I have two of these Hawker SBS J40 39AH batteries that I don't need. They're brand new, and EXTRA heavy duty. Designed for industrial use only...they should last a LONG time for any home power system. Original list price is $279 each. I'd like to sell them for $70 each, or $130 for both.

I am in Oregon, and the batteries weigh about 38lbs each. I looked up the Fedex shipping to a zip code in CA, it was only about $17. I MIGHT be able to fit them into a flat rate priority mail box for $7.70.

As best I can tell, these SBS J40 batteries are the industrial version of the Odyssey PC1200 battery, seen here:

Now that I'm reading all this info about these batteries it makes me want to keep them...if only I had a better use for them than door stops. :-)

Towards the bottom you can see that they ran it completely dead, then attached a 5 ohm resistor across the terminals and left it for 28 days. It recovered just fine.
