Screwing on a ring magnet?

Mounting magnets and issue?

What would happen in regards to useful coil EMF if a ring mangent
were mounted to disc rotor via a bolt in its center?
Would make stacking em up easier I assume if needed or desired.

I assume ring shaped neo's come with  N/S poles on flat faces, yes/no?

I also assume one could water jet a hole in solid neo's but don't know
what effect on the flux this may have or if it even matters.

I assume that steel bolts or ferric supports at edges of magnets would
divert flux from projecting toward coils, but alas, duh I don't know.

This method should work as long as you use a non magnetic screw, Brass, Nylon, etc.

OK that's not the answer I was expecting as I was thinking about
using steel fasteners but your response makes sense. Its a non
issue if using non magnetic fastener material. Good point, thanks.

To more directly answer your question, yes steel hardware would "short out" the magnetic flux.

You might find more looking into Hallback arrays
that use alernating magnets w some arranged poles set 90' to flux.
