New wind generator

New ideas

Here's my newest generator in the making. It has a 10 degree tilt from level. Also an adjustable angle on the tail. A bearing on the top of the yaw. It has 4) 5/16 dia. bolts plus lock nuts to stabilize. My idea is if the tail is too light or heavy, adjust the angle. The tail has 2 tractor 1/2" pins and bushings to convert them to a differant catagory. 2 pins and 4 bearings cost $10. There tight and easy to replace. Except for the pins and bushings, all is scrap steel. The star on the second pic is the center of a mower blade. I'll put more in my diary in a few days.
Comments are welcome!

Okay, I'll bite, on this one. I am just not able to imagine how this will look as a finished product. I am assuming it must be a HAWT? Is that big hunk of steel with the star in it going to have blades on it or is that the tail... it must be the tail. I guess you won't have to worry about that star piece breaking off... how thick is that steel plate? It looks real heavy, your gonna need mega tower.
