Confused about blade design?¿?

Hello, I'm from Holland (Amsterdam) and I'm very interested in, but new with windmill design.

Please excuse my English I have not had a lot of practice writing.

I'm trying to make some blade's to use on my stepper motor.

I've bin reading four a couple of days now, but I'm not yet sure about some things. First I like to ask if anyone has got a AutoCAD(2002 or dxf) drawing of a blade (maybe 3d?). This will probably help me the most.

But the tings I'm confused about are these:

When I look at this picture is the wind blowing from the top of the picture down or from the bottom up?

I think the wind blows from top to bottom but other pictures make me think otherwise.

If I'm right this mean that due to the airfoil the blades are helping the wind punching the tower over? (I hope u get what I mean)

A 2nd thing.

I've made a 3d cad drawing of my own based on http://www.scoraigwind.com/selfblade (hugh's tutorial) But I'm measuring an angle of 19 degrease at the "station" nearest to the root. This seems a bit to much to me, is it?

I hope I don't insult your intelligence with these questions ;)

thanks'

Bobbyb

Yes the wind is blosing from the top to bottom and the blade is moving to the right.

Calculators always give a large angle as you get close to the root.  But they don't get built that way very often.  The power contribution of the center part of the swept area is very small compared to the outer area (tips) so most people comprimise the angle near the root to save on material and make building easier.

Hope this helps
.
The sooner you start the longer it takes.
