Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Fair

A fun 2 day homebrew wind turbine workshop coming up

In about 6 weeks we'll be at the Rocky Mountain Sustainable living fair.  It's a fun 2 day event in a nicely wooded area along the Poudre river next store to New Belgium brewing Co.  For the last couple years we've had a homebrew wind turbine workshop there and it's lot's of fun.  We usually let about 4 folks build the machine (it's hard to keep more than that busy on one machine) and then at the end we donate the machine to the silent auction.  Here is the link to RSLF's website: http://sustainablelivingfair.org/index.php?pr=Workshops

During the workshop we build the machine from scratch Except for the metal work which we have to do before the fair (welding and grinding is a bit too loud/dangerous for this sort of event).

Here are the pages about previous years:

It's lots of fun, if your near the area you might want to come by!

Man I wish there were more events like this were I live.  Unfortunately most people around here dont have any idea what alternative power is.. other than the Electric companies own wind farm.  Nor do they have any intentions of using their own.

YYou've made some large strides since this unit . You should be making an outstanding contribution to the fair with the newer model . The first units had a bit more charm .
Generating the parts is much more interesting over all to me at least.

Hey Dan.

I'm back in CO, and near Castle Rock these days working.
Will come up for the fair, and would love to be one of the
lucky few to work on the gennie.  Let me know if that works
out for you too.

Cheerz,

Todd
