howmany

ok i got 8 magnets, and plan on doing a conversion.

now originaly the motor was 1750 RPM

am i better off doubling the magnets to make 4 poles NSNS

or am i better of making 8 poles evenly seperated NSNSNSNS

when looking at the coils they is only 4 and they are equaly spaced, so from what i can see, if i do 8 poles, the N will be passing 1 leg just as the S is passing the other leg on same coil.

is that better or is it beter to go with 4 poles wich from the looks of it, will have 1 leg have the N and then brief wait of nothign then back to the S on the other leg?

does that make sense or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

You have a 4 pole motor, so your options are NSNS or NNSSNNSS this will depend on your armature size and the magnets you use.

Your motor is 4 pole. Unless you want to rewind it you have no option but to use a 4 pole rotor.
