World locations

A good online map to see where every forum member is located within our 'global village'

http://www.frappr.com/otherpower

Simply enter in your city/Zip/postcode and it places a dot on the map - see where people are - You don't have to be too specific.

I think it could be very informative, and a little fun :)

Ben.
Thank you to Fungus for this.

Someone did this long ago. Lost that URL tho.

Well, I can see two local townships on the map but I can't select either of them with the 'move pin' dialogue - I guess the software being used on the site doesn't know much about New Zeland (and certainly doesn't understand our zip codes!).

If anyone is driving from West Melton to Rolleston, about 25km west of Christchurch on the South Island, you'll be able to see the sawdust from the blades I'm carving over the holidays :-)

Cheers all.

Chicago, IL, USA, Earth (third rock from the sun), Milky Way Galaxy (a bit of wind power history here as the former home of Aeromotor until about 1964. You still see lots of them from that era scattered across the U.S. great plains. http://www.aermotorwindmill.com/Company/History.asp) Rich
