Inexpensive ... make your children smarter ...

Here, they claim a couple of plates of coated glass and some squished berries make a solar cell .... Sure, but keep the day job.

Here's the instructions -- http://www.solideas.com/solrcell/english.html .  Titanium dioxide isn't the cheapest material to work with, though, considering the output is .43VDC at .1mA/cm^2

4.3W per square meter is like an effciency far below silicon solar panels  dun think it's worth it unless there is some sort of cost. I mean heck in a regular solar panel the max wattage you can get on a m^2 is like about 220W although that world be a single cristaline cell panel with square cells and virtually no spacing, most single cristaline cells are round and top like at 130 W per m^2 still most multicristaline can still get like 110W so heck that's like over 2000% better than those this thing it's just a hobby trick I would say.
