 Hey John-

Look's like your making good progress on "Hugh". I do like the little Hugh face built on...gives a artsy personalized touch!

A couple of things: Is the tail boom made from EMT conduit or other? Is the motor shown in your file somehow attached on the back of the mini brake drum?  And last but not least, on the upper shelf in your shop, right next to the reamers, there's a box of fingers. Are these your fingers or someone elses?  ;)

 Have fun!

 David

hi david .its funny what comes over us when we get busy.  yes maybe it can look a bit like arty .   the tail boom is made from stainless steel ive had for years .
thought it would be nice to use it on the mill.
ive posted more pics so maybe you can understand how ive fixed it together.
it took me long enuff to think it out.   but i collect so menny bits and bobs.
so given time i try make use of what i have rather than by bits.
a lot of the time ive made things from junk.
its a great feeling when your done and look at what you have made.
only thing is keeping all the usefull things i get my hands on.
so now was the time to use the nice bits of stainless pipe .

i think you must have the eyes of the eagle.
fingers in a box .??. maybe i am the bone collecter as well.
  its chocolate fingers .
but if you look below the fingers you might see another box .
yes i like tin boxies. so try look its a whisky bottle box . in tin  .
a malt whisky called Glenfidock.  but its empty now. .
not sure if i spelt it right .
i want to build the axal fluz type gen but will carry on building this one .
having the bug helps a lot. i aint evan got this one sorted out yet and allready thinking about the next one.
             cheers dave.

try hooking up two fully bridged rectifiers to it--and then parelle the outputs...
check the voltage on each rectifer before you parelle ..just give it a good spin by hand--that should give you some idea on power out....good luck.....

Hello John,
Looked at your files and I say, Very nicely done and like mentioned by others, Really liked the face !!!
I see the drum is, just being used as a housing, and the magnets spin inside that, I wonder if the drum was necessary, as you have steel pole shoes in your coil assy -- so the metal in the drum acts more as a means of securing things, and prerhaps a bearing holder, but the mass might help and protects things !!
Anyway, nicely done and we look foreward to seeing the output figures, hopefully you are now busy, whittling out blades !!??   Bill H.....
