I'm not sure what year this thing is, 50s? It operates from 115-125 VDC and puts out 110-125 VAC. I'm thinking its sine wave?
I tested its load and output capability with a Milwaukee sawzall, cut a 2"X6' in half, Craftsman 7.25" circular saw, cut a 2"X6" in half, B&D 1/2" drill drilled a 5/8" hole through the 2"X6".
I powered up my old Philco AM tube type radio to check its electronic noise level and it is fairly quiet.
Here are the name plate specs.
Rotory Converter, Janette MFG. Co. , Chicago Ill. , type CA18F, 115 vdc. , 125 kva. , dc 2 amps., 3600 rpm,
AC output 110 volts, 60 cycles, 1.13 amps, pf 1, PF 1.0, temp 40, NO. 377778.
I was amazed it could powerup and run the 5.5 amp sawzall and the other power tools without any trouble. After cuting and drilling the 2"X6" it was only faintly warm.
I know a solid state inverter with this power rateing would have just shut down.
It has a romte switch capability. Weighs 31 LBs.
I'm asking $40 plus shipping. I know there are not many of you with 120 volt battery banks. But if someone does this is a nice littel inverter.
