fuse size

On my solar panel label is says... fuse 15amp. Does this mean that I should use a 15 amp fuse? Because if I do the math I only need a 6 or 8 amp fuse. 150 watt panel 24v

Make sure that you use conductors sufficient to handle 15 amps and use the recommended fuse size.  If you are forced to use a smaller conductor, use a fuse that will not allow more current through that conductor than it is rated for.  The fuse needs to be the weakest link.  Rich

The fuse also protects the panel and wiring from currents driven from other sources - such as other panels in the array, the battery, etc.  It may not be adequate to prevent damage to the panel but it WILL prevent fire.

The value specified is sufficiently above the panel's short-circuit output current that the panel can never blow the fuse with its own output.  So it is there solely to limit damage due to other malfunctions.
