Need Home made Steam engine boiler

Steam engine boiler

I need plans for a small bolier to run my home made steam engine. How small
car compressor size. 2 in pistions with 2 in stroke.
I seen plans on the net before but now that I need them I cant find them.
Yea Should have saved it. Any links would be appreciated.

i would try a flash boiler to start with. a lot safer than an steam boiler. have a look a white steam cars for some ideas. when i last looked i seem to remember the biggest problem with them was the oil getting into the tube and caking it up.

Not sure what a flash boiler is but you might look into the Babington burner. A guy on utube perfected one that runs on old cooking oil. Only needs electric power to start it up after that it powers itself. Give it a look. http://www.youtube.com/user/jommy99

I have a pot belly coal burner (We burn wood)stove at the hunting camp and it would do great to make a flash boiler. But my hunting partners would not like that to much.
I do have a 55 drum heater that we had for years at the camp. It's off behind the old fish house down at the catfish lake. It my still be good. I like the oil and corn heater in the video.
