How to set it all up

Had the  opportunity to pick up 20 ( NdFeB ) magnets ,ordered 4 more very priceee,
1 x 2 x 3/4 grade 50 ,you know what I mean priceeee.

Had a stator all made up 70 turns aws 14 , and a set of rotor 12".

Got it all put together .

And hers the question , don't know how to set it up, that is the Gap.

This is how it tested

With the Gap set at 25mm ( stator is 14.5 mm thick  ) this give it 5.25 mm
magnet face to stator .

Turning by hand and having it hook up to the rectifier and batteries ,12 volts at 109 rpm
and a little hard to turn. At 24 volts 187 rpm 24 volt turns very easy and you can see the amp
meter moving.

What or how to set it up the best??????

I have not worked with magnets of this size, grade 50's.
What would be the best way to go.
12 or 24 volt .
Have a low wind conditions to live with.

Will set up battery bank as needed.

Please let me know...

Nice magnets.  Is the prop diameter 10 feet??  Many say that 24v sytem is always better than 12v.  How long is the line run including up the tower?? (100ft?  200ft ??)

Maybe you can reduce the magnet to stator distance (on both sides of stator) alittle bit closer and get the 24v cut-in down alittle bit more like say 150rpm??.  This is just my quess from what I have read here-- I have not made a 10 footer yet though.  Others would know better than me.
