Yeah, its a true problem. Been in electronics one way or another since I was a kid and I get confused.
The other problem is that some of them mean different things in different fields.
I usually try to ask early after a post if there are terms or acronyms that will be confusing.
I see this on other forums, especially the techy ones. I try to clarify mine but am not always successful.

If your pieces are stuck I suggest you use a BFH [Big Fat Hammer] to knock them apart.
I am sure I can figure out how to get an acronyms update or even a fresh page installed if someone puts one together.
The start would be to compile a list of the common ones in use here now. PWM, etc. See, I can't even think of a couple offhand so I used the one you mentioned.
The list could include common terms, also. Stator, Yaw, cut in, and a pile more I haven't thought of just now.
Another of those documents we can put together in the hope folks use them.
JacquesM built a program that parses webpages and creates links to other user submitted internal documents describing terms used in the page. Perhaps there will one day be a way to feed the Fieldlines page[s] to that to provide links to definitions. It was quite interesting.
Pretty much impossible to integrate into current software here so would not be likely to see that as a Fieldlines display option under the current setup.
But the idea of a database of terms and acronym is a good one.
Hopefully we can pull something together that folks will use.
