delco 10si alternator

My project is a delco 10si with windblue pm rotor. My tests include 3 stators, one 63amp one 37amp and one special wound low wind stator from windblue.

First test

  1. amp stator
  2. 67v dc @400 rpm
  3. 53v dc @1200 rpm
  4. amp stator
  5. 0v dc @400 rpm
  6. +v dc @1200 rpm
  7. 0v ac @400 rpm (from each of 3 phases)
  8. 1v ac @1200 rpm (from each of 3 phases)
windblue low wind stator
(tester overloads @20+ dc volts)
20+ v dc way before my cordless drill is close to 400 rpm
I cant even test dc @1200 rpm, way too much
  1. 3v ac @400 rpm (from each of 3 phases)
  2. 0 v ac @1200 rpm (from each of 3 phases)
Im turning alternator by my cordless drill which has 2 speeds, 400 & 1200 rpm. Each test was run with fresh charged drill battery so all tests started with the same devise at the same charge turning the alternator.

I priced magnets, wire and all the stuff to try to assemble my own alternator but found I was better off letting those who "know" build em. I have nothing lying around I could say "I built this from scraps" so I bought it ALL! That being, the rotor and stator from windblue. Im tickled at the results so far.
