This is a tachometer generator off of an old servo motor that I took apart, brand Mavilor , its basically just a little DC motor/generator , a nice thing about it is that it is 10V/1000rpm so you can have direct readout with a voltmeter .. its got two little spade terminals to get the voltage reading off of .. Its probably not much use as a generator but might light an LED or two :) .. better for actual use as a tachometer on the back of a generator.
Its got a 12mm shaft, with M12/1mm pitch threading on the locknut for it, and two mounting holes which are 56mm apart , 4mm diameter holes. The rotor has a mm or two clearance from the magnets so it should be pretty easy to mount on the back of a generator ..
I have tested it and agrees pretty accurately with my handheld laser tachometer.
Just thought someone might like it, I'll ask £7 including UK postage? Contact me at aicchalmers (at) btinternet (dot) com , can pay by paypal ..
