Fisher and Paykel Genny

Hi all.
I am wondering if anyone has rewound a F&P motor to get better output at lower RPM? looking to get decent output at ~60. dose anyone know how many wraps are on them now and a guess on how many can fit(looks like you can squeeze many more on it)? lastly when can I get one in the USA or Canada?

Thanks all.

Where in Canada are you? I'm in N.S. and have a couple of F&P motors that I rewired for 12 volts with pivot mounts ready to go.

Brian,

Not wishing to detract for this excellent forum, contact the Oz site

www.thebackshed.com

for info. These Kiwi designed washing machine motors are found during kerbside pickup (rubbish) days along most roads in Oz, so there is more info available from the above site compared to this more Piggott-oriented site. The motors never fail; it is the electronics inc. Hall sensors that fail on these machines.
