We really like Pictures on this forum, they really help us figure out what you are doing. If you are building something then show it to us, all of your Renewable Energy projects no matter how big or small.
About 15% of our users are using Dial-Up 56k internet connections, half of those users are in remote areas and connecting at less than 28k speed so we want to be considerate of these users with slow internet.

Also the Scoop software that runs this forum has problems formatting it's pages if you try to show Large pictures in your story. Because of these things we ask that you make sure that your pictures are sized properly Before you upload them to the board.
Your picture must be 640x480 pixels or smaller
The File size should be less than 100k and the picture will be removed if it is bigger than 150k
You can easily resize your pictures using Irfanview here http://irfanview2008.org/ or the Windows Paint Program. here is a short story talking about how easy it is to use Irfanview

Before you Submit your Posting you will need to upload your pictures, You must be a Registered User and Logged into the Forum. On the far right-hand side of the page you will see a Box with your UserName on it that looks a lot like this

Click the item that says "Your Photo Uploads"
At the bottom of that page you will see an "Upload File:" Box like this

Click the "Browse" button and select a Picture or File from your Hard Drive which will appear in the "Upload File" box.
Now click the "Upload" button and your file will be sent to the forum.
Repeat this step until all of your needed pictures are uploaded.
Now that your images are uploaded you can Post a Story that includes your pictures.
On the right-hand side of the page at the top is a "Menu" Box, Click the "Submit Posting" button.
A page appears that allows you to enter the Title and Text of your story.
When you are ready to insert your Photo, Look on the Top Right-hand side of the page, under the "Menu" Box. There is a "User Files" box like this one

Click on the Down-Arrow and Select the file-name of the photo that you want to show.
Then click the "Insert Image" button.
A line of text will be inserted at the end of your story that represents your picture. This line of text will look a lot like this

You can add more text and more pictures until you are finished with your story.
To see what your story will look like when posted, you can click the "Preview" button at the bottom of the page.
When you are ready to Post your story to the Message Forum, then click the "Post" button at the Bottom too.
You can add more pictures to your story in Comments & Replies that you make to your own story. Other users may also add pictures into any of the Comments & Replies they make to your story. When inserting a picture into a Comment, the "User Files" box will be at the Bottom Left-hand side of the page under the Preview button, like this

This is a little confusing since the "User Files" box is in a different location on the page depending on if you are posting a Fresh Story or a Comment.
