What is everyone using now

What is everyone using now to pour there magnet rotors? i just got to bands from Dan and need to pour my rotors so i can install the stator and get this baby in the air. Thanks in advance.

I have had good luck using vinyl ester resin with small bits of fiberglass mixed in.

I also have had good luck with west systems epoxy. Its really expensive. But this is what I have been using lately. It is a thinner viscosity and therefore hard to keep the air bubbles out when casting rotors upside down. It can be overcome by adding ATH to raise the viscosity.

I suggest staying away from polyester resin for magnet rotor casting.

yup... bubles are an issue, but also sealing themold well and using a good mold release is very critical if you want to get your stator ring out in one piece (I spent hours tearing my mold apart to to get my stator out in one piece).
