a site which presents solar, wind and water data

Diary entry not a commercial endorsement

This is the first mention of the UNACCEPTABLE website I have found. Yes, it is UNACCEPTABLE but does cover all types of power solar, wind, and water. It is kinda narrow geographically, probably to your zip code and altitudes of 20 60 and 80 meters. It is just not very local. An individual who works for a commercial company was the first person to mention the site to me and one person who stressed the importance of local conditions affecting the available energy.

So where do we go from here? Guess its time to hang the ping pong balls on strings tied to bean poles and post them around my place. Then I track them with my web cam which wakes up at movement and review the footage, and chart it over time......

Maybe it is time to get together with the botanists, foresters and tree huggers and ask them what the photosynthetic locals are saying about wind, solar and water. The metering involved in the whole property appraisal sounds like a serious and expensive wireless network.

I am attempting to use rudimentary HTML formatting and am receiving far more robotic help then I need. I gave up on block quotes and citations. I am reluctant to include any data mentioning the actual site as when I do the robotic editor kicks the post to the bit bucket. I will persevere trying to assemble a Otherpower legal post

Dan;

I cannot understand what you are going on about?

At all.

No link referenced. You do not say what website[s] you are talking about.

Did you lose a post here? Are you sure it was accepted when you hit post?

Please elaborate a little.

It is semi well documented that the forum occasionally loses postings. Assuming it is malicious is an option, I guess.

Trying to understand what you mean. Without some specifics there is not much to go on.

I see 2 recent story posts by you, they are over here:

solar, wind and water data (3.00 / 0) (#4)

is available at 3tier.com if you want a lite version of the data.  Bottom line is they want money for real data and besides at the level most of us work you will need to analyse your wind or solar relative to the exact spots available to you.  Trees, shrubs or the lack of them will radically influence the available sun or wind.  IF you want to be sure of your wind, you will have to get out there with an anerometer. And plan to do it for a while like a year if you want really good data. Great data will probably be available after you wind your second generator.
