I need some advice on wiring a 20watt solar panel & 500 watt inverter to my 12volt rv battery

While that's very vague, if all you want to do it run  a load (hopefully not 500watts or that little panel take forever recharge your batteries, all you need is a charge controller. A cheap 7amp charge controller can be had for under $30. Then all you do is hook up the panel to the charge controller and then the charge controller to the batteries. The inverter will just connect to your battery as well. That's about as simple as a solar system can get. Is there maybe something more technical you were meaning to ask?
