I looked for it but Hugh has got so many things on that page, I couldn't find it after a couple minutes. I also keep getting sidetracked with all the nice detours on his home page !

How's about you zoom in for us a bit ?

I thought the track was "the sound of silence" but I can't remember who recorded it.

Original sound of silence was simon & garfunkel. I didn't hear a track either,
so I don't know if it's the original.
I'm starting to think it wasn't the original and you already knew this, huh?

Do I see the peak output for each phase as the magnet aproaches the right leg of the coils?

Is that when that hapens?

I went back and took another look. I look like theres a peak when the magnet is over either leg?

I don't hear any music when I veiw this.

Legs are confusing. The volts induced is zero when the flux is not changing. The zero of the waveform comes when the magnet is in the centre of the coil. The next zero comes when the other magnet pole is centred on the coil. The peak is half way between these points.

With a full pitched coil it will be as the magnet is at the centre of the legs but this type of winding always gives a distribution and the n & S poles are not both centred on the legs at the same time. Forget legs and active sides and you will save a lot of confusion.
