Got LED parts
« on: February 03, 2004, 09:02:18 AM »
Got my LED parts yesterday to make a simple LED flashlight and learn about electronics at the same time. Now, how in the world does a breadboard work? And where can I find a cheap, tube-shaped holder for the LED and batteries? Like a cigar case?

Hey, I like your cigar case idea.  If you're talking about those plastic tubes, rounded on one end and capped on the other, I think they'd be almost the right size for AA batteries.

Where I work they use rigid electrical conduit, It's just about the right size for AA batteries.   Your hardware store or electrical place will have this stuff.  (It's basicly little PVC pipe)

About the breadboard, look here

Yes. Some are plastic, some are metal cigar cases.
