Combined photos reposted with text.
« on: September 26, 2004, 08:42:25 PM »
I joined this board for some time already. But I had never gotten the time to go into the diary nor "Story" sections before I made the diary. I was under the impression at first that a "Diary" were some place to show or tell what you did, not meant to be commented on by everyone. But when I went into it, suddenly I found that it was about the same as the discussion area, anybody could join in with comments. Well you can't win them all.  But why call it "Diary" if it is a section for everyone to jump into ? I don't think the workings of "Diary" fits the title but anyway here we are.

I posted some pxs, not meant to be stayed for a long time. Then little disturbance came, members and I went into some discussions that were on the fringes of the allowed-nada zone. Actually I was not posting anything that had to do with perpetual nor overunity machinery as they were so already mentioned to be not of the boss' displeasure. I was only trying primarily to discuss on energy and free energies. But blam....... blam........ blam..... suddenly bullets flew. So I stopped that article. But I have almost completely the entire article as of today, and it will be posted up elsewhere next week not on this board. I will dare not come back to this diary to "Raise trouble" so to speak over that, it is just not worth it.

Now for those of you who have my email addresses, I thank you for emailing me on many requests, and also "Thank you" to some of you who mailed over very negative crude comments as well. I an trying my best to answer to all. But it takes time. I didn't figure that so many person got my email addresses but they did even though I gave out to just a handful of persons and I just wonder how. But all the same, thank you all for your mails anyway. But most of the incoming mails did involve asking to see some of the photos that I posted out to the diary a few days ago. As I mentioned, I did not understand how this diary matter worked here, so I thought that others could see the photos that I posted as long as I had uploaded them, but apparently not when I did not put it directly into the pages where the text were. Because I am a little overwhelmed with requests to see at least some of the photos, I am reposting them with the text and let them stay for a short while. I have never tried to put the photos there but I will try to read up on the instruction that I think should be somewhere around. So I hope that I could, if I could not, then I probably would yell a bit so someone can help me with it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"State of the art" ? No, just "State of the primitive". But it works, ...... and works better ! Here we go, and savory the view, because they will be removed from the net in short order.

Ok the entire seat pedestal was made out of recycled automotive [Vmob]  parts, a window crank was modified to operate the up and down movements of the footrest. A break drum was attached to a pipe to form a short column. All the break linking and parts were retained so that a foot operated emergency level would lock down the drum, this mode is required when the vehicle was travelling. Otherwise we would have turned the vehicle into an amusement park when the seat swivels all around and around as s a corner was turned-What is the name they call them ? "Happy Seats" ? " I hate to be in those, never like that type of thrills, makes me dizzy, never like neither to be in the sky 20,000 feet or more up, hurts my ear drums. And then the emergency break release level, when pulled, will unlock and allow the seat to swivel at leisure. Aside from being made off recycled parts, the main feature of this pedestal is one that allows an infinite position locking since it used break drum and shoes. Most other commercial pedestals at the time were only "Multi positions" locking devices, not able to be locked at any position as user desires.

Please bear in mind that these are old photos printed from the 70's, they are not as clear as they should. I cannot find the photo for the entire seat assembly as completed, at this time. Perhaps later I would find it and post out. The high-back seat itself, was from another car. I also custom-built a sofa from scratch for another van.

If you have a slow connection and have trouble downloading this, it is the same as Eoporno 3014. The difference is, I intentionally left the 3014G at very high definition so that if anyone wishes to enlarge the view and have a closer look, the details are there for it. I also made the other non-G one in warmer colour. This is the bottom view-Notice how two of the studs were left in their original holes and the other two studs were welded off to the side of the drum, this is to provide for a wider stance as compared to using the studs in their totally original spaces. You will also notice that, there are holes on the support pieces [Both left and right lower sides of photo]. These are the holes to allow bolts to go through the flat "Bottom-plate" and be bolted onto the underside of the seat. You can also see the crank mechanism pretty clearly on this one. This is to crank up the footrest if not needed. [See other px].

:

Now the pedestal is right side up, you can see at least one of the studs welded on the side of the drum and believe me, it was difficult for me, have no idea what vehicle that came out of but the steel material of the drum made it somewhat welding-unfriendly, it is a type of some cast iron materials. You will also notice the slight curved "V" on the plate, this is to conform to the shape of the underside of the seat.

:

Drum removed, we can see the break linings inside. We can also clearly see the release lever for the swivel, and can see the through-hole mount for the foot rest.

:

A more close up look to it all. We can see the rear of the crank how a rod is pushing a level to extend or retract the footrest. Also a piece was added to the rear of the crank gears swing plate to operate the rod. We can also notice the welding quality. One might be very curious as to how the welded spots look the way they look. This is because I welded them up with gas, not electric welding ! If I told anyone what I were attempting to do, they would always say that it could not be done, that the welded spots would break upon loading. But not so, I had my special technique, I managed to triple up the welding without they ran off, just a matter of practicing to control the temperature to the exact degree to avoid the previously welded filler running back off, ye, give it enough heat to weld more filler onto the already welding spots, goinng over it three times. We can also see a part of the van in this px, can we see it ? We see it where ? Also, before you become curious and ask, the center of the flat plate seems to have a pipe of some kinds extending out. Not so, just an illusion. That was a part of the coconut tree in the background.

:

Now we see the footrest itself. It had no rubber matting attached to it as yet in this px. But we can see that the movements up and down of it is linked by a spring, meaning, if someone were to force a foot or so onto the footrest and try to crank it up, no straining will occur. People usually are curious as to what happens if they forced things over limits, don't you find it so ? When we were in electronics business, I found that people liked to try to push down on both the play and rewind, or play and forward buttons simultaneously [Sim4-], just to see what happened. But if anything broke, the dealers were always to be blamed, I know. They would come right back and claimed "Defective Products". Well this is human for you ! ! Never trust what your customer told you, any repair department can also confirm this. Well yes sometimes they admit, and that's what make repairs a bit easier, otherwise the technician will be mislead into the tip of a cow horn !

Then came Hiker's dog photo :

Or this

Or still yet, this

Ok be quiet Hiker, the other side is for souvenir ....

This last one is "Idler Off Bearing". it was a photo used to illustrate the correct method of removing an idler wheel from its bearing. There was a school that was making up a book for their own curriculum to teach mechanicals. And this is one of the photos used in their book. Another photo of shames to present to the internet ! !

I don't see the photos markings on the preview window, but perhaps this is the way it should be, once submitted, the photos will appear. so I'll try to post now.

Ciao to you all mates,

Have the best events for the day,

Harry Luubovv.

Is that better now Harry?

I sent you an email with hopefully a good explanation about what was wrong the first time and how to make the pictures work.

You can definitely play with it and experiment...

If you get it right, it will show up properly in 'preveiw'.

Looks like a fun ride you're making there... I've been wanting to build something like that for kids to ride here!  Have fun - DanB

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

Hi Freddy,

Thank you for your comment. In fact I found the photos from the upload cue and clicked "INSERT" button, I thougth they could be in, but they did not appear. So I clicked again on thwe folloing comment to try. But apparently those buttons did not work for me don't know why.

In any case, thank you Freddy.

I guess viewers are happy guys now, now that the photos can be seen ! You guys must know to thank Mister Dan B. for the work, if not, you still cannot see anything.

Thank you a million times Mister Dan B. for fixing up the photos. And thank you for your email with instruction to post photos, thank you again. But I did use the insert feature of the board and repeatedly clicking on the INSERT but saw no marking for the photos on the pages. But I posted them out anyhow to see if there were anything that I was missing.

Hope Hicker does not mind my having his dog fixed up by only one side of the face and leaving the other side. But as I said, it was for souvenir purpose. No value in the world when there is no souvenir good or bad things, right ? No, just joking, I just did not have the time to remove the rest of the spikes, that side will take longer to do so I picked the easy side to do istead. Hee hee, lazy me !

Since you guys are enthused to see my photos, I will post out more later.

Thank you all,

Have a wonderdul day.

Thank you Freddy, thank you Dan.
