Here is a drawing showing how I latch the door on my stove. Hinges get hot and cold then don't work for crap. You can;t use any lubricant on them cause the high heat just burns it away. I attach a handle to this (not shown as you can be pretty creative with a handle) and make sure I grab it with a gloved hand for sure. Hope this helps...
