Well it looks like this motor at best is only going to do 1000 watts@800rpm. Oh well I guess its better than nothing. Lesson learned, use neos. RobC

This is a very heavy duty motor at a 1000 watts the windings won't even get warm. I was hoping for 2500 watts. I guess I could build a new rotor for it with neos. RobC

Ya I see your disapointment. Put some NEOs in there and get 5 KW.

That 1/2 hp GE industreal motor is a curent model. There around $250. I loaded mine up with 12 of the old #29 curved NEOS and it dose 2025 watts at 30 mph. The complete genny is around 50 lbs.

I'm using the 7ft Lakota blades on that one. BTW I'm a Lakota dealer. I do sell the blades.

I'm going to try a set on my highly moded F&P. I've seen 1,00 watts from it with my plastic blades at 40 mph. 450 watts at 30 mph. I think the F&P will do 1,000 watts at 30 mph with the Lakota blades.  

I wind tested the Lakota wind genny a while back and saw 1050 watts at 25 mph and this thing weighs in at less than 40 lbs. Its also very quiet.

This all sounds like a comercial. Sorry I'm just having fun with these things.

only a 1000 watt?    1000 watt is bigger and better than many manufactured units on the market.  be proud of it. i would.

actually, for ceramic mags, i think it is excellent!

i would like to know more about the coil arrangement, coil spans. connections if you do know what they are. there is a good chance that this machine can be tweeked for more juice.

give us a little more info if you could please
