motor conversion
« on: January 07, 2005, 06:53:26 AM »
I have decided to rewind my stator with thicker wire 1.6mm as the existing .8mm does not give off enough power. so I have been looking at Zubbly's conversion and following Baggo's conversion with interest as he has the same slots as my motor but I have noticed Zubbly used a 12-10-8 concentric winding (3diffrent size coils) and Baggo used 8-6 winding (2 different size coils?) mine is wound as 12 coils all the same size and all at 6 slot spacing e.g. coil 1 slot 1 to 7  Coil 2 slot 2 to 8 Coil 3/ slot 3 to 9 etc. in this way I guess that each slot has 2 separate coils in it and the other windings allow for more copper so I might follow Baggo's style.

Well of to strip her down.
