2 pole ceramic conversion update.
« on: February 24, 2005, 03:46:53 AM »
Well did a wind test on the 2 pole today. Hey Zublly your right to get anything usefull out of this one it will need to be 3 phase?

5 mph nutin, 10 mph 1 amp, 15 mph 2 amps, 20 mph 3 amps, 25 mph 4 amps, 30 mph 5amp 60 watts.

Now if I use this unit at my store I'll use it for 2 volt charging. In thirory this should be 6X the amps per mph reading?

I normally do the lathe rpm test first. I guess I'll be able to calculate rpm of the blade at X mph after comparing V & A #s to the wind test.

The 49" 2 blade was spinnin fast not much load. I'll be trying a 4 pole 3 phase with the next cut curved ceramics. Should see better #s then.

Hi Jerry,

If you want I can do a couple of simulations on this. Let me know the diameter of the hole in the laminations where the rotor sits, and the approx. size of a slot, and how many slots (looks like 24??)

Ted.
