had this little motor laying around for quite awhile-so-i tore it apart made a new rotor for it--first i only used four mags--worked okay--high volts--hooked up a 11ov light bulb 150 watt -lite it right up..looked at the rotor again and decided to add 4 more mags --totalle of 8 mags--with hard drive mags topped off on some of them..
big diffrance in power..well thought i might try it on my little briggs and strat engine--tore off my car alternator that i had hooked to that and installed the new minnie alt..works great for lights and even powers my hand drill with ease..
the motor only has to run at idle for lights and just a hare more to power the hand drill.. beats the heck out of my old honda gen that had to have high rpms to do dam near anything..
i tried the alt in both delta and star[has hook ups for eather one]works best in delta..if nothing else its a good little gas mizer light plant and electric hand tools--so far ive only had two 150watt light bulbs hooked to it[300watts]
its kind of hard to run the drill at the same time with lights hooked up keeps on blowing out the 150watt bulbs every time i turn the drill off..
still have to try it with 12v headlamps[50watts]--mine are all burned out...
now i dont no what to do with it --make a windgen out of it or a back up gen..
ps: its powered with ceramic mags--half the rotor has hd mags on top of the ceramics.
