it first thought we were gonna douse the dog with tomato stuff.

after a quick seach on the internet said "hydrogen peroxide & baking soda?"

we've tried the tomato juice before "the dogs are slow learners"

it worked! and vary good to.

ya the clothesline got some to.

soooo, just in case you in to peppy la pew.

Vinegar works instead of the peroxide too.

Did it taste like chicken?

Put a couple drops of dishwashing soap in that mix-makes them smell good for a few days.We are big fans of the peroxide/baking soda/dishsoap mix as our dogs are about as dense as a concrete tower base and seem to enjoy the aroma they bring home after an encounter with a skunk.

I wonder if that works for other stuff as well?

Been lucky here, although we have had skunks in the yard nothing was ever sprayed so far. However the dog sometimes gets a real stinky greasy type strip down the middle of his back. Don't know why, somethings even after a bath he still stinks from it.

He used to roll around in cow pies at the neighbors pasture and we thought that was it, but since we stopped him of that he still gets it at times anyway.

Next time I think we will try the baking soda and peroxide for this and see what happens.

So how are you supposed to mix it? How much peroxide and how much soda?

it said how to mix,

but i just used one big box & a big thing "qt" like 3 times,

small batches, just what your gonna use at that dunk.

i forgot to tell you about the dish soap....

we were kind of in a panic at the time.

must of got it close enough to work.

profusion or google will tell ya how to.

i like profusion a lot, picks up alot what other search engines don't.

p.s.

i don't get the chicken thing?

You didn't kill and eat the skunk?!?

Now it can spray your dog again!
