My Diary,
« on: December 23, 2005, 06:21:22 PM »
My Diary,

I feel and think that this feature, offered free by "otherpower.com", is GREAT.

I keep and store many gigabyte's of my own and others thoughts and idea's, on many Hard Drives in my network of systems, (getting close to 1K of GB).

This free Diary I use to share my thoughts and opions. So others can view and even offer their thoughts and opinions.

I THANK the Dan's for this chance to gather information !!!!

I also want to thank any and ALL of the users that offer any information !!!

Sometimes I might "look stupid", (Because I used all the mirrors in the house as solar collecters reflectors, so I never know what I actually do look like), lol !!!

But what I'm trying to say is that I don't want others to think or feel that I am trying to cheat or take short-cuts as I grow my knowlage of "RE" and build my systems.

I do the research, (this is just ONE of the sources) and spend the time with effort to gain the right information, (I strongly support FREE INFORMATION WORLDWIDE), but I can't afford to make mistakes, (Two X-wifes w/Two kids each, staying caught-up on child support, but am at $0.00 income at this point in my life).

So please do offer your opinions and experiences !!!

I was researching when I read this, thats why I added this to my diary.

"someone wants is not our job. Some users feel being argumentative and "cute" has more value than logical thought. It doesn't.

The quality of the stuff that passes through this board sure has gone from high quality to the Walmart of discussion boards over the past couple years. An ever growing pool of unappreciative information seekers feeding off a shrinking cadre of folks with the information and expecting that information in a fast food bag from the drive up window customized to their needs and of course FREE. "

THANK YOU

john

I will agree with much of what you say, even this these thoughts should be in the Rant area.

I did a lot of reading before I ever decided to "login" and only then it was to offer help with what I had knowledge of and to add to this forum.

I agree that there have been several people asking questions without what many did and that was research.

To be very honest though I do/did lose my cool once or twice when people ask without searching first. I agree, Arguing is never cute but it happens, we just go on get on with life.

Free really never is, but when there's an entire group willing to help you almost every step of the way and enjoy your successes and be there to help you when something doesn't work is indeed the closest it can come to being truly free.

I like Free, Free is always good even if something doesn't work there's always parts to scrounge. One of the main reasons that one of my very first posts was to offer cast off NiCds to any one for just the shipping costs which never amounted to more than the cost of a McD's lunch.

I am lucky in that my company trusts me not to abuse the web and that some of the ideas put forth here, were even used in the planning of the current building ( i.e. high voltage CFLs instead of standards, asking that the backup genny be powered with B20 instead of straight diesel etc.).

Looking back on the trend of ideas and information, there is always a flush of incoming questions when pockets are being hit, but those that stay and learn and add help just as much as those who leave once they realize they will actually have to "DO" some homework.

Should take a poll to see just how far reaching the professions would be listed.

I strongly disagree with the remark about the quality of information that is passing through here, tho.

I think the Admins are doing a bang up job of keeping the rif-raf to a low, besides some of the stuff offered by Walmart is of high quality. Batteries is one of those.

Merry Christmas!!

Yea

Free never is really, you do get what you paid for.

I just think this site is cool, and am slowly getting as much of ALL of it read.

Thats why I post stuff, opinions, but I know it'l be done my why anyway. And by "my way", That will be the best what I've found researching what has been done by mostly you people at this site.

But of course my brain see's stuff in strange ways, like today I bought couple of Wheel coasters, swivle type Ballbearing, I want to try as "Yaw" and maybe even the little one for "Furl". Looks like all I need to do mount upside down, tilted about 15 to 20, place tail tube were wheel was and put stops on.

Might be crazy but I got 2 try, and thats why I put it in my Diary, a place to store whese thoughts.

I gota stay out of ARMY surplus store.
