todays progress on the 10 ft mill
« on: January 11, 2006, 11:07:43 PM »
well making a little progress on my 10 footer here are some pics

Here is a pic of it in self etching prmer

one more in primer

here are a couple with the tail mocked on for the purpose of drilling all holes before the paint goes on the tail turned out to be 912 square inches should be pretty close to 6 square feet hopefully it isnt to big??

this shot shows the 5 degree up hill pitch of the spindle

right after paint still see the over spray

these three show the metalic green flake. you can also see i added the yaw stop similar to what dan did on his big machine i managed to notch my tail pivot to much so this seemed a shure fire way to keep it out of the blades. got the magnets and rotor discs from dan today so will start laying them out. then onto the stator.

I have broadband DSL internet and it took 28 seconds to download all of those Large Pictures. I tried to look at them at actual size and all I could see was a bolt. Why are you sending such large pictures to be viewed on a computer monitor. Dial-up users will not be able to view your posts.

Maybe its just the way Im looking at it but it almost appears that the whole tail boom assembly is welded up solit to the Yaw assembly.  Can you hold the tail steady and yaw the front of the assembly?
