Re: improving pvc blade performance

i deleated the picrures from my file to upgrade with better pictures an did not think about losing them in my diries. these are pvc pipe blades that i have improved by adding a flat piece of plastic to the side that faces into the wind. this made the blades hollow so i made a scoop at the root end and a vent nozel at the trailing edge at the tip. this almost doubled the rpm of this rotor and makes them perform like wood carved blades. i encased the entire blade in glass cloth and resin, which makes them completely weather proof and there is no chance that they will fly apart if i ever lose one (fingers crossed as i typed that). i have seen these  blades turning when my flag was hanging limp on a higher pole thirty ft. away. the charging cutin improved by several mph and i thank they look nice too.

thanks for looking pepa
