last night we had 48 mph wind.
before the storm i stoped & locked the s rotor down.
i let the pvc genny go & it did.
wow it did.
got extra blades any ways.
i seen her crainking out almost 40 amps for about a 1/2 hour.
we all made it.
but i think the most important thing is that misconception about
"average wind speed"
it was only 8 mph!?
acording to
http://wunderground.com.
my battery bank is full & hot water for days.
i run in to that all the time
"we can't have a wind mill because of my average wind speed"
i try to tell them
"ya but you might have 3 hours of 24 mph & the rest of the day, nothing, is only an average of 3 mph"
only for a week or so in the summer i start to worrie about no wind.
i'm in a aws of 10mph.
12 years now we've had enough to run the house & only had to run the gas burner like 2 times.
well just to keep the old bank above 12 volts & not to cycle to deep.
any body else run in that "average wind speed" syndrome to?
